OUR MISSION

Life is hectic. More often than not, we teenagers struggle to stay on top of our lives, and because of this, we often neglect what is happening in the world around us. The most young adults might do is retweet and create new hashtags about the tragedies that happen. Social media just shows us the surface of the problem, and we never really look into what is happening. All this creates many misconceptions about what is really happening in the world. We created this platform so that teens and young adults can see what really happens by sharing articles and informing them about new major events that happen everyday.

The endless oppurtunites that have been given to me. I have learned to always do your best, and I have been inspired by everyone during this program. The things that I have accomplished only made me want to do better, and also inspire others.

I'm an upcoming senior in the Bay Area who was given an amazing opportunity from Girls Who Code to not only experience new things, step out of my comfort zone, but also figure out a potential feature career in Comp Sci. I never thought I'd be one to pursue this field because it never seemed possible, but that is what GWC has done for me -- make a crazy concept into a reality, just like we've done with our website.
So besides GWC, I reguarly drink milk tea and believe I am a milk tea connoisseur. I am close to getting diabetes of how unhealthy I eat. I participate in a club called Interact that does service in and even outside of our community!
