Star Wars: the Empire Strikes Back

As the fifth episode in the franchise, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back remains one of the most iconic and well structured elements of pop culture, despite the passage of time. The three main characters of the movie Luke, Leia, and Han, each undergo journeys that put them in situations where they can constantly develop. Luke has a spiritual journey, where he struggles with the Force and his own mental roadblocks, whereas Han and Leia have a physical journey, where they escape from the Empire.

The Martian

The Martian, a movie filled with lots of twists and turns has been ranked one of the best movies about space. Starting from a dust bowl that leaves Watney, the main character, separated from his crew, Watney learns to survive on Mars by himself. With only 50 days worth of food, Watney learns to grow his own food in Mars while building up to communicate with his crew back in Nasa. After seven months in Mars, a great amount of weight lost, and an overgrown beard, Watney sends one last video to his family and his crew on Earth as a final goodbye; however, this goodbye turned into a happy ending, one that YOU the viewer can enjoy when watching The Martian.
