We Listen

You are not crazy. Be kind and gentle with yourself. You are doing the best you can. You will survive this experience. And when it’s over, I will be here and so will you.

You’re not alone in this.

Feeling isolated in your suffering is one of the worst feelings to endure when you have a mental illness. You are not alone, but it is easy to isolate yourself and cut yourself off from everyone and everything. The best thing you can do is remain connected so that you have someone there to help you when you cannot. If you are able to reach out to friends, family or someone else you trust, do so. If you are unable to at this time or if you do not want to bother someone, or if you woul just rather talk to a stranger, check out the links on the left for chatrooms where you can talk to others with similar problems or find someone to listen attentively.

You are important to me. You matter to me and so do your feelings

We already validate how you are feeling. Dont let anyone shame, question, or try to analyze it.

This does not define you

Your mental health struggle does not define who you are or what makes up your identity.

You did not ask for this or bring this on yourself

You did not ask for PTSD. Those that I know who are depressed or struggle with eating disorders or OCD did not ask for it. You are a product of many things, most of them being things you can not or could not control. And that is not you fault
